Featured Application: Community Resources

TargetSafety will soon launch Community Resources, a comprehensive file-sharing application that makes it possible for all MemberLink clients and community members to access and share training videos and presentations, organizational policies and procedures, inspection forms, and other documents.

Once these files are uploaded, community members can:

Download, customize, and distribute the documents to employees.
Search the library of submissions from leading fire-EMS departments, schools, municipalities, risk pools, and other public entities.
Comment on and rate the information posted by community members.
Find out additional information about a contributor, or his or her organization, by viewing the posted profile.

As a participant, you are able to:

Reduce the time you spend searching for relevant content. With over 2,500 public entity clients, Community Resources provides the information you need, right at your fingertips.
Learn what other organizations are doing that is innovative, cutting-edge, and creative as well as share with, and get credit from, the community for your original ideas.
Access the latest available information—from one location. Community Resources is dynamic and updated in real time.

It is our hope that MemberLink Community Resources becomes your go-to repository of key risk management, loss prevention, and safety information.

Compatibility View
	With the recent upgrade to Internet Explorer 8, some of you may have experienced a blank screen when you try to create a Credential, Custom Activity, or a Custom Test. To fix this, there is a blue icon that looks like a broken page located next to your Address Bar. Click this button once, and you will be able to proceed as normal.

Self Assign

There has been a small upgrade to the Self Assign section of the Home Page. To allow for better organization, the Self Assign section now expands and collapses based on the type of Assignment (TargetSafety Courses vs. Custom Activities Categories).

EMT/Paramedic Recertification in California

We’ve recently made some changes to our EMS Catalog in California due to a re-evaluation of our courses by the County of San Diego. We have received approval for our Basic Courses to be completed by Paramedics. All of our EMS courses are now eligible to be completed by either EMT Basics or Paramedics. During the review, we were also told that we have to remove the EMS Driving Safety course from our list of approved courses. To avoid confusion, we have removed this course from your list of available EMS Courses. If you have any questions about what’s approved in your state, please contact your Account Manager.

Updated Course Information

If you’ve recently taken any of our Employment Practices for Supervisors, human resources, or driving courses, you may have noticed something different. Several of our courses now feature multimedia introductions complete with video and sound. The following catalogs will soon contain these multimedia introductions:

Fire industry
EMS
OSHA and compliance
Water and wastewater
School districts

In addition, we have released new courses this past month, including:

Meet the Crew

Shaun Ralton - District Sales Manager

Shaun joined the TargetSafety sales team in August 2009 as a District Sales Manager for Washington and Oregon. Prior to joining TargetSafety, Shaun worked in the Fire/EMS market selling fire equipment for a global manufacturer. He has been in outside sales selling everything from industrial supplies to safety equipment for the past 25 years.

Shaun grew up in Scotland and immigrated to Seattle in 1984 with his wife. He now has three children and two grandchildren. He enjoys all sports, coaching his sons in soccer, and camping. His passion is playing golf.
