The FASNY Firefighter Safety Annual Refresher Program is divided into four modules, each lasting appoximately two hours. These modules cover all of the following topics and more: Identifying Workplace Hazards, Firefighter PPE, Emergency Response Driving, Defensive Driving, Building Construction, Ventilation, Ladder Safety, Safety in EMS Operations, and Emergency Incident Rehab.

The $19.99 non-member cost includes the Firefighter Safety Annual Refresher program, 12 hours of additional online training, and a one-year membership to FASNY.

*This course does not include the Equipment Inspection or SCBA Familiarization/Inspection (approximately two hours), which by their nature are hands-on components.  To ensure compliance with the full OSHA/PESH refresher, the equipment inspection and SCBA components will need to be provided, completed, and signed off by you or by your fire department’s training officer.

**The FASNY Firefighter Safety Annual Refresher is normally $75.  However, FASNY is underwriting the difference for any current, or future, member who takes advantage of it.
