11.12.09: Risk Central Launched

The Public School Risk Institute (PSRI) and TargetSafety today announce the launch of Risk Central, a no cost, online risk management community for K-12 school superintendents, administrators, risk management professionals, employees, board members and other key stakeholders. Delivered through TargetSafety’s PreventionLink™ platform—and accessible as a link from www.schoolrisk.org—Risk Central features the latest research and information on risk management in the public schools. 9.24.09: Multimedia Introductions

If you’ve recently taken any of our Employment Practices for Supervisors, human resources, or driving courses, you may have noticed something different. Several of our courses now feature multimedia introductions complete with video and sound. The following catalogs will soon contain these multimedia introductions:

• Fire industry
• EMS
• OSHA and compliance
• Water and wastewater
• School districts

3.05.09: New Feature! Shared Video Library

TargetSafety recently launched a new shared video library. This library, which is accessible from your organization’s PreventionLink File Center, features a variety of video clips. By clicking on the View and Import Videos link, you will be able to add any of these videos to your File Center. Once in the File Center, the video can be attached to a Custom Activity and assigned to your employees. This provides you with a helpful training supplement.

Our goal is to build a library with video clips from all industries, but we need your help to make this a success! If you have any incident scene, event, or instructional videos that you would like to share with other TargetSafety clients, please upload the files by clicking here and putting “PreventionLink Video Library” in the File/Video Name field. Please provide the highest quality digital file (.avi, .wmv, .mov, .flv, etc.) you have. Any video submitted will need to include a signed media release form before it will be added to the Shared Video Library.

2.02.09: New Feature! PreventionLink Credentials Manager

With this easy to use application, you can track the status of EMT certifications, firefighter and police job qualifications (HAZMAT, First Responder, etc.), drivers' licenses, auto insurance, and virtually any type of data that includes an expiration date and identification number.

2.02.09: New Feature! API

TargetSafety has created an Application Programming Interface (API) to allow clients to synchronize their existing systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, ZOLL/Sunpro/BIO-key, Firehouse and TeleStaff, etc.) with PreventionLink. This version of the API will focus on user data rather than training records.

The latest course in our NFPA 1021 series - Pre-Incident Planning - is now available.

1.07.09: New Educator Courses Launched

TargetSafety, in partnership with Arthur J. Gallagher, has released a new catalog of multimedia-rich courses designed specifically for school employees and educators. The first seven courses are available now and include: Avoiding Slips, Trips, and Falls; Proper Lifting; Recognition of Hazards for Principals; Reporting Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation of Children; Breaking Up Student Fights; Playground Supervision; and Proper Lifting in Library Operations.

1.05.09: New, and Final, Course in Employment Practices for Supervisors Series Launched

The final course in the Employment Practices for Supervisors series - Understanding Employee Leave - is now available.

12.31.08: New Motor Vehicle Safety Courses for Police Officers

TargetSafety has just released two new motor vehicle safety courses designed specifically for law enforcement - Police Vehicle Inspection and Police Vehicle Technology.

12.30.08: Final Fleet Courses Now Available

The remaining courses in our fleet motor vehicle safety series are now available - Seatbelt & Airbag Safety for Large Vehicles and Seatbelt & Airbag Safety for Emergency Vehicle Operators.

12.18.08: New Feature! Online Forums

To help you easily solicit employee feedback, TargetSafety has developed a new, online discussion board. This Forum makes it possible for PreventionLink administrators to collect input from any employee on any topic they choose-a training session, a new policy, and more!

Clients can now take advantage of the latest EVO course, Accidents & Emergencies for Emergency Vehicle Operators.

12.15.08: Complete NFPA 1001 Series Launched

TargetSafety's entire 20-course library for Firefighters I/II, based on the NFPA's 1001 standard, is now available.
